The updated S-MX R boot has become an even more accomplished performer. Re-profiled to give better fit and feel. Greater flexibility and comfort, combined with its lightweight and ergonomic shape, using hi-tech micro-fibre, gives great riding feel and safety performance. The S-MX R is the ultimate performance/road riding boot for all-round use on the street and racetrack.

• A contoured shin plate protector is injected with high modulus TPU has been re-profiled to improve forward flex performance while giving highly effective impact and abrasion resistance.
  
  
• Air scoops have also been upgraded to improve venting.
  
  
• U-shaped calf protector is dual molded to improve material hardness and contoured to allow the Achilles flex bellows to wrap around the ankle and calf area. Additional calf support is given by a molded logo tab behind the gusset.
  
  
• An injection molded support gasket has been added to control stiffness and support in the ankle, while a wide and ventilated injected PU heel counter is combined with an internal shock absorbing padded insert and self-molding ?memory? foam ankle guard.
  
  
• The S-MX R boot is fully CE certified.
  
  
• A unique, asymmetrical “throat” design bellows area has been profiled to flow over the medial side of the forefoot to improve fit, aid flexibility and promote natural movement.
  
  
• Internal lower heel grip, with a smooth profile, gives excellent feel and control.
  
  
• Shifter pad and forefoot protection has been enlarged and uniquely styled with over-injected TPU inserts.
  
  
• Enhanced ventilation via lateral air scoops and synthetic forefoot lining laminated with open cell foam for comfort and long lasting freshness.
  
  
• Long, side entry, instep lateral zipper closure, in conjunction with a large flap gives easy entry and exit.
  
  
• Additional adjustability and security is provided by the top, micro-adjustable, recessed ratchet locking buckle and hidden strap around the calf with additional Velcro? flap closure over the entry/exit zip.
  
  
• New internal user-friendly calf adjustment guarantees perfect fit for bigger calves.
  
  
• A replaceable contoured foot bed sculpted from Alpinestars PU foam provides enhanced arch support and increased forefoot pedal feeling.
  
  
• Alpinestars exclusive rubber compound sole is highly durable and gives superb grip and a high level of pedal feel.

• Interchangeable bi-injected PU toe slider with snap-in assembly.
