Shoei RF-1100 review
I bought this to replace an earlier Shoei RF1000 and a HJC full face helmet. I need Snell 2010 certification for racing this year and the helmet qualifies. Other benefits - helmet ventilation and field of vision are the best that I have encountered. It's much less noisy than the RF1000, a little better than the HJC, but still not quiet enough to rate a 5. I wear ear plugs while riding. I'll give a "5" when I can remove the ear plugs and leave in the hearing aids while riding my VFR or racing my SV650Reviewer: John (Sparks, M) 10.13.2012
Replacement
My RF-1000 was stolen and this was a replacement. Loved the 1000. This one, not so much. Cheek pads are a little too much "in your face." Airflow over the face isn't nearly as good as on the 1000. Any level I had the visor at on the 1000, it worked. Since its been a bit chilly, I've mostly had this open the first notch and it makes my eyes water. The little tab to keep it open a little, really doesn't. Good enough to keep and get used to.Reviewer: Jay Nichols (Niles, OH) 7.10.2012

I purchased a Shoei RF-1100 helmet and was not at all disappointed. Without question this is the finest quality helmet I have ever owned. Quiet, fits perfectly, all I could ask for. I wanted to check out this helmet first and now am going to purchase one for my wife. Highly recommend.
