Great helmet for the price
The helmet is not too heavy and fits very comfortably. I've had absolutely no issues so far.Reviewer: Ethan T (Miami Beach, FL) 5.24.2011

HJC CL-16
Before buying this helmet, I read a review of it on Webbikeworld.com. This proved to be extremely helpful in narrowing down my options of helmets. As I am on a limited budget, I was most attracted to the HJC. In fact, were there not the CL-16, I would have borrowed money to buy one of the more expensive tried and true brands. It seemed, of the cheaper helmets, only the CL-16 could compare with the Shoei's, Arai's and AGV's in terms of quality and safety. Since I wanted a high visibility color and yellow was not offered, white was the winner. I could not be happier with this helmet. Keep in mind that I wore the same Shoei for about 17 years (stupid, I know), then took 5 years off from cycling. That leaves a huge gap in technology and helmet evolution. While the reviews on Webbikeworld.com said this helmet was very good in quality and face shield, it got poor ratings in noise and ventilation. Compared to my old helmet, this HJC is quiet and breezy. One thing I really like about it is that I can hear cars coming up behind me (perhaps due to the "ventilation" screened holes in the back). While I haven't had to remove the cushions and liner for washing yet, I love having the option of doing so. Also, the face shield is very rigid and locks into place nicely, so it doesn't flap or blow around, even when partially opened at 60 mph. Face shield removal for cleaning is easy and no tools are needed. I opted to put an amber shield on and couldn't be more pleased. Webbikeworld.com lists this helmet as fitting for "slight round" heads. My old Shoei always induced a little pain at the top of my forehead after about an hour's use. I've later come to realize that Shoei's are "medium round". This HJC has never made my head sore, even after two hours of wearing without removing. I believe that you can't do better than this helmet, DOT and SNELL 2010 approved, for the money. I even wonder if you can do better with a lot more money. I recommend this helmet enthusiastically, provided it fits your head properly. If you need to save, get an HJC. If you have lots of money, consider the HJC anyhow.Reviewer: Jim (Flagstaff, AZ) 5.23.2011

Better service then Motorcycle Superstore
When Helmet City says 2 Day shipping, its exactly what they mean. Ordered my helmet on Tuesday evening, and received it Friday morning. I owned an HJC before and it fit well. I ordered an AGV from motorcycle superstore, paid for the 2 day shipping and received it 8 days later. For the price i paid, it expected something a little better then the HJC I had. WRONG. It was much nosier, more head wobble at speeds above 40mph. I returned it, and its been about 3 weeks now and still waiting for my money back. Helmet city impressed me from the beginning. This newer HJC has a better fit, much quieter and no head wobble. There's a small pocket to put my headphones into. Its a great helmet for the price. Motorcycle Superstore has pissed me off lately and will do my accessory shopping with Helmet City from now on!!!
