According to Web Bike World's review of the Profile: "The graphics on the Profile have more detail, they're "deeper", the edges are sharper and the metal flake paint has more "pop".The Profile shows Arai's usual attention to detail in the thick paint and high quality. The Profile is definitely a "long oval" design, with a narrower and taller internal height and narrower sides. Arai also offers replacement cheek pads in different sizes to custom-tailor the fit if necessary."

I'm a tough fit
There are not a lot of choices in the high-end, lightweight helmets for those of us with big "long oval" noggins. I ended-up with an XXL, and while far more comfortable than the Shoei X-Eleven I previously owned, still have to get it off my noggin after 50–75 miles for a break, but it's not nearly the skull-crusher my Shoei was. This helmet isn't quite as well ventillated as the X-Eleven, but fairly close. I can feel the extra weight, but it's well balanced, even when turning my head to the side at speed. ALOT noisier though. Better interior padding (thicker and more plush), the retractable chin curtain is a neat feature, very handy for an all-season rider like me. Construction is solid, as I expected from Arai. Despite all the negatives, I've been very happy with the helmet. With my noggin I'm just happy to have something that fits decently and a company that still makes "long ovals" at the high end. :)
