Great Company to Buy From!!
My review is not so much about the great HJC Helmet I purchased but about the company I purchased it from. I love HJC Helmets - they are great quality and fit me perfectly! Not only was freight included but my helmet came in 2 days! When it arrived it was missing the visor - I called Helmet City who immediately sent a new visor to me. The helmet proper seems well constructed as one would expect from HJC. The pull down shield is optically clear and without noticeable flaws tho in the rain turbulence flips water up behind the shield limiting its usefulness after a few moments. My main problem with the design is the attachment of the straps to the helmet. There is a single strap and for a shorty like this there needs to be at least a 3 point attachment to stabilize the helmet on the head. It would take almost not force to pull the helmet off your head even with the strap tight- this is a safety issue. Also very hard to almost impossible to get chin snap snug because of the way it is attached to the helmet. More engineering is needed on this helmet. HJC IS-2 is the BEST
I did research this helmet prior to purchase and I really like this Helmet for a my first. A great cruiser helmet I like that it is 3/4. The helmet tends to run small I went up a size from large to extra large, very comfortable, excellent fit, the retractable shield works perfect and shield change out is easy. It not only looks COOL it looks SMART, is smart and safe. Of course DOT approved.
