      Works great, Super Fast Service
I had been waiting for this product to go with my Sena Mag-9 helmet that I purchased from Helmet City. Neither Sena or Bell had this item available for purchase on their sites. Thanks Helmet City!

No mention of special clamp requirement
I purchased the Bell Mag-9 Sena helmet with the hopes of integrating my Sena SMH-10 Bluetooth communications unit, which I had owned and used for a year. However there was no mention by Bell, by Sena, that this special Clamp and Boom Mic Kit is absolutely required to integrate the previous SMH-10 unit with this helmet. Even my retailer did not know. I had to write to Sena to learn this information. Once received, the clamp and boom mic integrated nicely.

      Bell Mag9 Helmet & SENA
Prices and service were great. Easy transaction and shipped faster than promised. Helmets are great for the price. A little heavy but other than that comfortable. Be careful because only the Bell version of the SENA mounts will work. They make it look like the helmets work with the generic SENA system but the clamp and boom mic are different. It requires a specific Bell version of the SENA clamp and boom mic. I had to order separately after realizing it would not work but now have extra clip to put on friends helmets so not a big deal. Helmet face shield is too low and too straight, since they built this helmet specifically for use with SENA system you would think they would have made the face mask a bit longer and curved at bottom edge to deflect wind away from boom mic. At highway speeds useless for passenger on Goldwing and I suspect many other bikes. Great for single rider behind a windscreen but point of bluetooth is both passenger and rider can communicate. At speeds of 55 and under with no side wind not bad. Again if using on full-face helmet would probably work fine but the Bell Mag-9 SENA helmets are built specifically for this use so they should have designed wind protection to allow use at highway speeds. Only other minor complaint is when you remove the plug on headset side of helmet and install clamp and boom mic it leaves a big open area and the under side of helmet has gap too. They should have designed and provided a plug for use with SENA system installed and one without. I had to make something to block holes and fill empty void left after removing plug but installing headset. Controls are easy to use, takes a bit to get them both paired first time. Battery life is fantastic, we did 450 miles and 15 hours and both headsets still worked when we got home. The SM10 module batteries died about 30 minutes before we got home so streaming music stopped but could still talk helmet-to-helmet so the SM10 battery does not last quite as long as headsets. I don't think the design of the SENA itself could be much better. Note that the SM10 is designed so you can stream from another source to both helmets. I have connected to intercom on Goldwing. Works great. But if you pair your helmet to your phone headset using bluetooth headset gives priority to phone and can only toggle between two sources, so that kills SM10 audio streaming for passenger. Couldn't figure out why I could hear music and wife couldn't but unpaired from phone and worked fine. If paired to SM10 can't talk on phone. Going to read manual to see if SM10 can be paired to phone and that might resolve but would have to use SM10 to switch sources rather than headset so might get confusing to use that way since would have to switch between phone and intercom on SM10 and SM10 and intercom on headset. Overall I don't think there is a better system currently available but both helmet and intercom system still needs some work to be perfect. A huge step in the right direction, hopefully they will continue to refine.
