Caliber review
I have been using these pants for two years. I ride about 10,000 miles a year in southern California. I have found these pants to be comfortable as they stretch in key places. They keep me warm down to about 35 degrees. When the morning temps drop below that the groin area does have a tendency to get a bit cold. The zip-out liner is key for the few months that it does get warmer here. As far as construction goes, the fabric is bomb proof and I feel they could withstand a trip across the highway. They are water proof with the exception of the seams in the seat. I've been caught in a downpour and my pants underneath got completely soaked, but just in the seat. The fly zipper broke within 3 months of getting them, but there is velcro over that so I'm just rolling with it like that. They are bulky, so storage kind of sucks. The armor in the knees is adjustable to femur length, which is a plus. All-in-all they are okay and I wouldn't want to go down without them on. I'm a medic and have seen the aftermath of a downed rider many times, I am always shocked by the riders who walk away unscathed due to full body protection. It was a tough choice between textile pants and leather, I really like how versatile these have been.Reviewer: Paul M (Eustis, FL) 9.14.2011

Pants
These are well made. I live in Florida and these are unbearable warm except in the coldest florida weather without even wearing the liner. The rain proof liner built in contributes to the warmth. Never have worn the liner. I actually wear old scrub light cotton pants as a liner which can be aired out in the evening and washed out when home. I only wear these pants during a cool weather tour. Suggest you get the next size up. They are bulky so if you're not wearing them storage is a concern.
